ADOPTION & ORPHAN CARE
Why the name Legacy685?
Our Father is calling His children to be the ones who will be the hands, feet, and voice of Christ to the fatherless. We are compelled to reach out in love to the fatherless because we enjoy a holy legacy of being adopted into the family of God -(Galatians 4:7). Through our spiritual adoption as sons & daughters of the King, we are loved and accepted both now and eternally. It is our privilege as Christians to pass on this legacy to our children. 685 is part of our ministry verse, Psalm 68:5-6a, God truly sets the lonely in families.
“A father of the fatherless, a defender of widows,
is God in His holy habitation. God sets the lonely in families.”
– Psalm 68:5-6a
Through the ministry of adoption, foster care and going on mission trips our desire is to support, encourage and come alongside families and individuals as they seek how God is asking them to care for the fatherless.

Created to Connect Bible Study
Every Sun, Oct 24-Nov 21 @ 5-6:20 pm - Rm 251
"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and future." Jeremiah 29:11
Created To Connect is a study designed to help illuminate the Biblical principles that serve as the foundation for the philosophy and interventions detailed in The Connected Child, written by Dr. Karen Purvis. This study will help adoptive and foster parents better understand how to build strong and lasting connections with their children as they understand the scriptural basis for the philosophy and approach for the model of holistic parenting that The Connected Child advocates. This model of parenting, based on wisdom rooted in Scripture, has helped bring hope and healing to countless children and parents. Our prayer is that this study will empower you with practical tools and insights that allow you to mirror the love of God as you build stronger and more meaningful connections with your children.
