"Letters to God" opened in theaters nationwide on Fri, Apr 9, 2010. The film made its public Houston premiere at Houston's First on Fri, Mar 5, before an audience of more than 1,800 people. "Letters To God" Webcast

On Apr 7, 2010, Possibility Pictures and Houston's First Baptist Church sponsored this live webcast with Pastor Gregg addressing the topic of how we can trust God when life is hard. Possibility Pictures, the producers of the faith-based film "Letters to God," solicited questions from people through the movie's website and Facebook page. In the webcast, Pastor Gregg answers these questions based on the Truth in God's Word -- the Bible -- and his personal experiences.

Houston Premiere

On Fri, Mar 5, 2010, Houston's First hosted the Houston premiere of "Letters to God" -- the latest film from the producers of "Fireproof" and "Facing The Giants." All proceeds from ticket sales were given to the Children's Cancer Hospital at The University of Texas M. D. Anderson Cancer Center. With 1,877 tickets sold, the event raised $9,385 for the Children's Cancer Hospital and was the film's largest premiere event in the nation. Houston's First rounded up that amount to a gift of $10,000. The hospital plans on using the funds for their Palliative Care Program, providing services to patients and their families as they face end-of-life issues.

Before and after the film's screening, guests attended a Resource Expo in the Main Foyer and visited with representatives from various Houston's First ministries and M. D. Anderson departments. Each group at the Expo provided services and programs related to children, families, cancer, grief, wellness, and other themes found in the film.
